Youth video-sharing website KidzBop.com and Chronicle Books are teaming up to launch The Totally Weird Super Contest to support the latest release in the publisher’s Worst-Case Scenario series, The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Weird Junior Edition.

The five-week contest will run from May 20 to June 26 on the Kidz Bop website using the site’s proprietary Super Contest platform, a kid-created online contest app that launched last fall.

Kids are invited to upload videos explaining the weirdest thing they can imagine for a chance to win a range of prizes, including an HD Flip Cam, an iTunes gift certificate and books from Chronicle. Voting for the favorite videos begins June 12. The Totally Weird Super Contest marks KidzBop.com‘s first sponsored online contest and was brokered by Gorilla Nation.
