BBC Worldwide Channels has appointed Dan Salerno as VP of Programming for Latin America and the US Hispanic market.

Salerno will be responsible for leading strategic programming efforts for BBC Entertainment and CBeebies, encompassing programming strategy, scheduling, and production.

Based in Miami, Salerno will oversee the programming team, strengthening the core genres and identifying new avenues for the network’s portfolio in both regions.

Previously, Salerno spent nearly two decades at Discovery Communications, supervising the development, scheduling, acquisitions, program evaluation and programming strategy of the Military Channel, Discovery Home Channel and Discovery en Español. He also served as VP of program planning for Discovery Networks, where he directed programming content and strategic opportunities across all of Discovery’s 14 US channels.
