Two more Jungle Book L&M deals for DQE

Animation, gaming and live-action prodco DQ Entertainment has signed two new licensing deals for The Jungle Book (52 eps), including a three-year representation agreement with licensing agent CPLG.

Animation, gaming and live-action prodco DQ Entertainment has signed two new licensing deals for The Jungle Book (52 eps), including a three-year representation agreement with licensing agent CPLG.

Under the agreement, CPLG will be responsible for product merchandising, publishing, promotions and direct-to-retail strategy for the series in Italy, the UK and Eire, Spain, Portugal and Japan.

In addition, DQE has forged a deal for fabric products with Belgium-based N V Belltex that will manufacture an array of products, including tents, quilt cover sets, pillowcases, fitted sheets, curtains, decoration cushions, beach towels, ponchos, bathrobes and hand & bath towels based on The Jungle Book.

French licensing agent TF1 Enterprises brokered the deal.

To date, DQE has concluded multiple agreements for licensing and merchandising of The Jungle Book, which is currently in production as a 52-episode animated series and a 60-minute TV feature with TF1 and Moonscoop , France, ZDF Group, Germany and is to be released world-wide in 2010.
