Toronto, Canada-based toy company Spin Master has named Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) the exclusive global licensing agent for its portfolio of brands.

Building on the existing strategic partnership between the two companies that began in 2008 with the Bakugan brand, a co-production from Spin Master and Nelvana Entertainment, CNE will be charged with building comprehensive consumer products and merchandising programs for Spin Master, with three brands serving as the main pillars of focus for the moment. At this year’s Licensing Show, CNE will unveil plans and actively seek licensing partners across key categories for girls’ fashion doll Liv, the Zoobles toy line and the Tech Deck skateboarding brand.

For CNE, the partnership with Spin Master is the latest in a series of third party licensing agreements across a range of categories. In addition to serving as licensing agent for Nelvana Entertainment and Spin Master’s Bakugan brand since 2008, the company has also been named the agent for the PGA of America for the youth marketplace.
