The Jim Henson Company has finalized a slate of broadcast agreements for its CGI-animated preschool series Dinosaur Train.

In Europe, France 5, SVT (Sweden), YLE (Finland) and TG4 (Ireland) have snapped up the series, while basic television rights have been licensed to Canal + in Poland for its MiniMini Channel. In Eastern Europe cabsat channel Chello TV Italy has taken the series and all TV and DVD rights have been licensed to Dall’Angelo Pictures in that country. In Portugal, all television rights have been licensed to Atxilipu and in Scandinavia, Svensk Filmindustri has optioned home entertainment rights.

Outside of Europe, pay cable and satellite rights for Dinosaur Train have been licensed to E-Vision for the United Arab Emirates with basic cable rights going to HOP! in Israel and broadcast rights going to On Digital Media in South Africa.

Dinosaur Train launched in May on Discovery Kids Latin America, and has been licensed to additional previously announced partners TVO and TFO in Canada, Knowledge in British Columbia, NRK in Norway, Selecta Vision in Spain, Al Jazeera for the United Arab Emirates and Nick Jr. in Australia, where it will debut this year. The series airs on PBS Kids in the US.
