Nickelodeon US has snapped up CG-animated preschool series Mike the Knight, and the half-hour adventure series debuts tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on the channel.
The HIT Entertainment and Nelvana Studio co-produced series, created by Alexander Bar (Lunar Jim) and written by Marc Seal (Bob the Builder), follows a young knight-in-training as he journeys on missions to protect his kingdom.
Following tomorrow’s debut, Nickelodeon will air new episodes on February 6 and February 9 at 12:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The 26-episode series will regularly air weekdays at 12:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
Mike the Knight debuted on CBeebies, Treehouse and TF1 in November 2011 and is set to launch in 10 new countries including Australia (ABC), Sweden (SVT), Norway (NRK) and Finland (YLE).
The Nick US announcement comes on the heels of new L&M deals for the popular brand which will see audio books and food products produced.
