Limassol, Cyprus-based Outfit7 has partnered with New York-based brand licensing agency Beanstalk to produce 10 licenses for the Talking Friends collection of mobile apps, including Talking Tom Cat, Talking Ben the Dog and Talking Gina the Giraffe.

The animated characters from the franchise, which has garnered 250 million downloads worldwide, will be featured across numerous consumer product categories including apparel and accessories, footwear, sleepwear, home décor, collectibles and plush toys. The items are available from December 13 through a new e-commerce store.

Additional items including back-to-school, social expression and gift and novelty products will be added to the initial line and will launch across North America, Europe and Asia in spring 2012 at mass, online and specialty retailers.

The partnership is another example of apps and viral properties entering into the global licensing space.
