DEALS: Spin Master goes on a sales spree with Vida the Vet

Also, Peppa Pig gets a master toy distributor in Australia/New Zealand, and Bell Media steps up as the first Canadian buyer for Moonbug’s Little Angel series.

  • Spin Master has sold season one of its 2D-animated preschool series Vida the Vet (52 x 11 minutes) to Cartoon Network (Australia, New Zealand), HKTVE (APAC), Clan TV (Spain), France Télévisions, Frisbee (Italy), RTÉ (Ireland) and RTS (Switzerland). And season two has been picked up by CBeebies (UK), Corus (Canada), SVT (Sweden) and Hop (Israel).

  • Hasbro has appointed toy wholesaler Jasnor to serve as the master toy distributor for Peppa Pig products in Australia and New Zealand. As part of a deal brokered by Merchantwise, Jasnor will roll out a wide range of Peppa plush, toys, playsets, electronics and nursery items to retailers in both markets throughout Q3 and Q4 this year. 

 

  • Moonbug Entertainment has struck a first Canadian distribution deal for its preschool series Little Angel with Bell Media, which will stream the first part of season one starting this week on Crave, followed by additional episode drops on August 9, August 23 and September 13. 

 

  • Co-producers Nelvana and Toikido have inked a new deal that will see their 2D-animated series Piñata Smashlings (26 x 11 minutes) start streaming on ITVX in the UK this September.
