Q3 2025 forecast: US$11.5 billion, up 17.3% from Q3 2024

Full-year revenue forecast: US$44.8 billion to US$45.2 billion, up from the streamer’s Q1 2025 forecast of US$43.5 billion to US$44.5 billion

How many hours people watched in H1 2025: More than 95 billion

Biggest kids & family movies in H1 2025 by views: The Secret Life of Pets 2 (74.5 million views), Electric State (74.2 million) and Despicable Me 4 (69.8 million)

Titles Netflix called out: Gabby’s Dollhouse (108 million views across all seasons), KPop Demon Hunters (80 million, pictured above), Ms. Rachel season one (53 million) and Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight (16 million)

Biggest kids content highlight: KPop Demon Hunters. Sony Pictures Animation’s action/adventure musical film has racked up 80 million views since its release on June 20. Netflix called the feature “one of our biggest animated films ever” and highlighted the popularity of its music.

What co-CEO Ted Sarandos said about original animation on the earnings call:

KPop Demon Hunters is a phenomenal success out of the gate. One of the things that I’m excited [and] really proud of the team about is original animation—not sequels, not live-action remakes.”

“Original animation features are very tough and have been struggling for years. And I think [about] the fact that our biggest hits—Leo, Sea Beast and now KPop Demon Hunters—are original animation. So we’re super-thrilled about that.”

“The songs ‘Golden’ and ‘Soda Pop’ [from KPop Demon Hunters] are enormous hits, and they all came from a film that’s available only on Netflix. So we’re really excited that we can pierce the culture with original animated features, considering that folks have been poking us on it.”

Netflix called Sony Pictures Animation’s KPop Demon Hunters “one of our biggest animated films ever” in its Q2 financial report.

Netflix’s next big animated original film: In Your Dreams from Netflix Animation and Kuku Studios, dropping on November 14. Netflix’s co-CEOs both expressed a desire to have another hit with the new film.

What execs said about the Netflix/TF1 partnership: Netflix wants to provide more content to its subscribers, said co-CEO Gregory Peters in the earnings call. “We wanted our first partner to be in a big territory. We wanted to pick the leading local programmer. And we both look at this as an opportunity to learn and to figure out how we scale the local content that TF1 is producing to more customers in France.”

Going the distance: Some of Netflix’s original kids titles have strong staying power, according to the streamer. Animated film Leo (Netflix Animation, Happy Madison Productions, Animal Logic, Screen NSW) from 2023, for example, had more than 20 million views in the first half of 2025.

Upcoming kids & family titles Netflix is optimistic about: Wednesday season 2 (August 6) and the final season of Stranger Things (November 26)
