PEOPLE: Geoff Walker takes the reins at toyco Super7 as CEO

Also, Tim Gerhartz has landed at ZDF Studios with a remit to bolster its distribution and licensing business as chief commercial officer.

  • San Francisco-based toyco Super7 is powering up its senior leadership team by hiring Geoff Walker to steer its brand vision and business operations as CEO. Founder and former CEO Brian Flynn will continue to serve on the company’s board as he transitions into a new role as chief creative officer, focusing on product innovation. Walker has more than 30 years of experience in the toy industry, working as the CEO of Texas-based toy and furniture company KidKraft (2019 to 2024) and in various executive roles at Mattel (1995 to 2018).

 

  • ZDF Studios has tapped sales guru Tim Gerhartz to lead its distribution unit as chief commercial officer. His initial focus will be to bolster the division’s co-production and licensing business, while also developing new strategies with ZDF’s production arm. Gerhartz is coming off a six-year stint at Seven.One Studios International, where he most recently served as managing director. ZDF’s distribution catalogue includes kids series Simon Super Rabbit, Pipo, Pepa & Pop, Sam & Julia and Dino Mite.
