  • Disney has signed a new deal with Charter Communications to bring back eight of its linear channels (including Disney Jr, Disney XD, Nat Geo Wild and BabyTV) to the Spectrum lineup. The networks were originally pulled in late 2023 amid a dispute between the cable company and the Mouse House. This new agreement will also include a free ad-based version of Hulu for Spectrum TV Select customers at no extra cost.

  • Banijay Kids & Family has added two new licensees to its Totally Spies! consumer products program. Deals with Buckle-Down (belts, accessories) and YouTooz (plush collectibles) were brokered by Carlin West Agency in the US. The seventh season of this spy toon has attracted 27 million viewers on French net Gulli since launching in May 2024.

  • Sony is teaming up with Fathom Entertainment to re-release its three original Spider-Man films headlined by Tobey Maguire. These screenings are set for September and October, with an extended cut of the fan-favorite second film. Fathom saw a 45% jump in revenue last year, buoyed in part by its strategy of re-releasing older hits and cult classics including 2009 spooky kids pic Coraline, which made an impressive US$34 million in its 15th anniversary theatrical run last year.

  • Canela Media has scooped up a pair of 2D-animated preschool series produced by Netherlands-based StoryZoo. The US AVOD platform will now offer Spanish-language versions of StoryZoo Adventures – Instruments and StoryZoo Adventures – Space.
