  • EXCLUSIVE: Bandai Namco has teamed up with Gamisodes to revive Bandai’s ’80s video game Dig Dug (pictured). The partners will produce a playable five-minute episode in the Gamisodes app that blends fresh CG animation with gameplay from the original title. This content launches on June 17 and will run for two weeks. The Gamisodes platform features episodes of original and licensed TV series—such as Inspector Gadget and Baby Einstein—and adds interactive elements so that kids have to play a mini-game to move the story forward.

  • Distributor GKIDS has picked up the North American rights to Another World, an animated feature from Chinese studios Silver Media and Point Five Creations. Based on the Japanese novel Senneki by Saijo Naka, the CG-animated film premieres this week at Annecy. It revolves around a spirit who teams up with a young girl to put an end to a curse that threatens the physical and spiritual worlds.

  • France-based documentary studio D18 Paris is co-producing its first-ever animated series with Caribara called Arty Mice (30 x 3.5 minutes). Aimed at four-to-sevens, this CG-animated series is in development with support from Taiwan’s PTS XS, Umedia in Belgium and France Télévisions. It centers on a mouse family that live in an art restoration workshop, where they make artistic discoveries. This is the first international animation co-production for PTS XS, Taiwan’s kids public TV channel. The series is in pre-production and scheduled for delivery in Q4 2026.
