- Studio 100 International has picked up global distribution rights to Cartobaleno’s 2D-animated comedy series Mortina (52 x 12 minutes), with plans to showcase it for the first time at Annecy. Mortina is about a nine-year-old zombie and her alive friends, who solve strange mysteries together in their town’s decaying Crumbling Manor.
- ABC Commercial has sold live-action series Ready, Steady, Wiggle! to Malaysian broadcaster RTM, which will air seasons four through seven (104 x 11 minutes) in English on its free-to-air channel.
- S4C has acquired a Welsh-language version of The Smurfs reboot (52 x 11 minutes) from The Peyo Company. This new dub was produced by Welsh prodco Cwmni Da and will be available in June on S4C, S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer. The franchise’s original 2D-animated series aired on S4C’s channels back in 1984.
