Former WildBrain Spark staffers launch an IP development agency

Former WildBrain Spark staffers Nico Lockhart and Jessie Stephenson have set up a new IP development company called TeamFalco to help brand owners build audiences on YouTube and Roblox.

The London-based outfit is set up to provide audience and competitor insights and production services ranging from scriptwriting and thumbnail design to full series production. TeamFalco can also map out distribution and marketing strategies to help clients achieve growth on multiple platforms.

Co-founder and managing director Lockhart (pictured right) says the company is already working with a few clients in the kids media space, as well as IP owners looking to expand into animation and onto YouTube. But he isn’t able to name names yet since these projects are all in very early development.

Lockhart worked at WildBrain Spark for more than eight years, holding positions including director of the digital studio and head of production. TeamFalco co-founder Stephenson (pictured left) serves as the company’s strategy director. She was at WildBrain Spark from 2017 to 2022 as a content strategist, mapping out planning and direction for franchises. And prior to that, she managed multiple YouTube channels at Little Dot Studios.

The digital experience and expertise of its two co-founders is what makes TeamFalco stand out, says Lockhart. “The company is founded and run by people who have lived and breathed digital content for over a decade, and who understand the challenges with a particular focus on discovery,” he says. “Being able to start a company with a team of like-minded individuals who care about the nuances around discovery, building audiences, creating good content and staying nimble and adaptable throughout the process is super-exciting.”
