- Italy’s Rainbow welcomes Marco Azzani (pictured) to its executive team as EVP of digital channels and distribution. Gearing up to launch a reboot of its classic Winx Club series this fall, Rainbow recently secured a US$92 million (€90 million) in investment capital from The Equity Club’s TEC Movie group. Azzani is coming off a recent four-year stint as managing director of Prime Video Italy.
- Atomic Cartoons creative executive and originals coordinator Annushka Almendros was laid off last week, according to a post on her LinkedIn page. The LA-based exec worked on kids shows including Wonderoos (15 x 20 minutes) and Mermicorno: Starfall (26 x 22 minutes) during her three years with the company.
