- Invisible Narratives has tapped Scholastic to publish a new range of books based on its breakout YouTube brand Skibidi Toilet. The range will kick off this summer with a YA ebook, followed by an in-world guidebook and two more ebooks in the fall.
- In the aftermath of Max removing 255 Looney Tunes episodes from its library last week, AVOD platform Tubi has picked up streaming rights to some of the brand’s shows from Warner Bros. Discovery. It will start offering the 2D-animated toons on April 1, including 2011’s The Looney Tunes Show (52 x 22 minutes) and 1995’s The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries (52 x 22 minutes).
- Square Enix and Penguin Random House are teaming up to launch a new retail promotion called Comic Partner across the US. Retailers that sign up for the program will get early access to Square Enix’s manga titles, along with in-store promotional materials, toys and collectibles to encourage Western audiences to read more manga. Square’s teen-skewing titles include Soul Eater, The Apothecary Diaries, A Man and His Cat and My Dress-Up Darling.
