- Disney EMEA’s Nami Patel has taken on an expanded role as SVP of consumer strategy and business development for direct-to-consumer, and will now support the growth of Disney+ in the region by helping to build new content partnerships and secure local content acquisitions for the streamer.
- Sony Pictures TV has elevated Mike Wald (EVP of international distribution and content strategy) and Jason Spivak (EVP of distribution, North America) to co-presidents of distribution and networks. Together, they will oversee post-theatrical film distribution, global distribution of TV content, cable nets in LatAm and European markets, and multi-channel marketing.
- Trade organization Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) has appointed Angelina Castro as executive director (a position she has been working in on an interim basis) and Janice Ross as business development advisor (focused on diversifying revenue streams and growing partnerships). And Mattel’s VP of global corporate events and philanthropy Nancy Molenda has joined the org’s board.
