UK publishing house Macmillan Children’s Books has snapped up the rights to DHX Media’s Rastamouse property.
The license will enable Macmillan to publish a wide range of Rastamouse products including storybooks, sound books, graphic novels, annuals and eBooks. The first of these will launch in the UK next spring.
The CBeebies preschool series, which debuted in January, follows the mystery-solving skate-boarder Rastamouse and his reggae band, Da Easy Crew. It was created by Genevieve Webster and Michael De Souza and developed from the original books published by Little Roots.
