Toronto’s TCG Toys has appointed former Spin Master account manager Lindsay Karbum as its new VP of global sales.
Karbum’s initial focus is to drive sales for TCG’s core product lines, which include SURE-LOX puzzles, FleXfigs collectible figures and Imaginmats play mats for preschoolers. The toyco also has licenses for Bluey, Barbie, Hot Wheels, PAW Patrol and Peppa Pig in its stable.
Longer term, Karbum is tasked with positioning TCG for growth by developing new sales programs for its brands and building relationships with retail and distribution partners worldwide. She joined the company last month and reports to CEO and president Michael Albert, but she will also work closely with EVP Jessica Gavin, who heads up licensing and marketing.
Karbum is coming off a four-year-stint as VP of sales for New York-based party game manufacturer Relatable (formerly What Do You Meme?), where she secured retail placement for three new product categories—plush, pet scratchpads and wellness. And before that, she worked as a national account manager at Spin Master and Ohio’s Bendon Publishing.
