As artificial intelligence continues to take the industry by the storm, Genius Brands International is lining up a second project driven by the tech in as many months.
The prodco is producing 26 one-minute shorts based on animated series Warren Buffet’s Secret Millionaires Club that will launch on its Kartoon Channel! AVOD platform, YouTube and other social media channels on May 15.
Genius Brands is using AI text-to-image and video animation tools to produce these Secret Millionaires Club Minis shorts, which will focus on teaching kids about financial literacy with bite-sized facts and lessons.
The decade-old original series (26 x half-hours eps) premiered in 2011 and features investor Warren Buffet guiding kids through the fundamentals of money management.
AI can significantly cut costs in production, making it easy for Genius Brands to quickly expand Kartoon Channel!’s catalogue with new content, according to a release.
The studio is also leveraging AI tech on Kidaverse Fast Facts, a series of two-minute shorts for kids ages four to 11 that launches on Kartoon Channel! and YouTube this month. Text-to-image AI tools and Chat GPT have been used to generate scripts, voices and animation on the project.
