MarVista Entertainment names new VP

LA-based MarVista Entertainment has named former 20th Century Fox distribution exec Stephanie Slack as the new SVP of co-productions and acquisitions.

LA-based MarVista Entertainment has named former 20th Century Fox distribution exec Stephanie Slack as the new SVP of co-productions and acquisitions.

In her new role, Slack is charged with expanding the company’s telefilms and series business through strategic relationships. As well, she will spearhead programming acquisitions across all genres.

Her main focus will be on augmenting MarVista’s co-productions, which have included two seasons of the primetime teen series Beyond the Break, co-produced with MTV Networks for The N, as well as the teen movie 16 Wishes, a co-pro with Disney for Disney Channel.

Slack formerly held the post of VP of Television Distribution for 20th Century Fox, where she was responsible for driving the local sales efforts and managing Fox’s international format business as well as overseeing the acquisition of product for distribution through Fox’s international division.
