Mind Candy, the creative force behind the kid-oriented social network Moshi Monsters, is now taking on the television space with the launch of a new online viewing platform called Moshi TV.
The platform, which is currently in development, will combine elements of user-generated content, in-house production and animated content from partners. It will naturally draw upon the social layer of the Moshi Monsters site, enabling the network’s 35 million users to rate content, discuss it with their friends and vote for what they’d like to watch.
Moshi Monsters creator and Mind Candy CEO Michael Acton Smith made the announcement today from Kidscreen Summit in New York City and says he is keen to connect with content creators on this new initiative.
