– Harvey Entertainment picks Trendmasters

Trendmasters has been awarded the master toy license by The Harvey Entertainment Company for Casper the Friendly Ghost, Wendy the Good Little Witch, Richie Rich, Baby Huey, Hot Stuff and Little Audrey. To kick off the partnership, a new Casper toy line-featuring figures and a playset based on the animated series, which airs on Fox Kids Network, as well as products based on the original Casper and a new live-action direct-to-video release-were unveiled at Toy Fair.

– Annie gets some new clothes

Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the musical and the 73rd anniversary of the comic strip, Tribune Media Services has licensed classic artwork from the Little Orphan Annie comic strip to the New York-based apparel company In Vitro.

The red-headed orphan, who was created by artist Harold Gray and first appeared in the comic strip in the Chicago Tribune in 1927, will also star in an updated animated TV series by Abrams/Gentile Entertainment and Fremantle Corp. Abrams/Gentile has exclusive toy rights.
