Fisher-Price has won the master toy license for Between the Lions, a new educational show for kids that is being co-produced by WGBH Boston and Sirius Thinking. Under the terms of the deal, Fisher-Price will create and distribute vehicles, viewmasters, plush dolls and playsets. Additionally, FP parent company Mattel is creating Lions-themed games, puzzles and action figures. The products will premiere in February at Toy Fair `99, and will hit retail in the fall of 2000. Targeted to kids ages four to seven, Between the Lions is a half-hour program promoting early learning and language development. BTL is slated to air on PBS in 2000.
