The first offspring from The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company’s newly formed prodco teeny weeny Productions is set to land on two North American kidcasters this fall. At MIP-TV, TIBEC announced it had inked two separate three-year deals with Fox Family Channel (U.S.) and YTV (Canada) to carry its new 90-minute block of commercial-free programming for preschoolers called It’s itsy bitsy Time! starting in September. It’s itsy bitsy Time! will begin airing in the U.S. on FFC, from Monday to Friday in two segments: first as a half-hour program from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and later as an hour-long show sometime during the 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. time slot.

Both shows will be comprised of a variety of kids animation shorts from around the world, which will be reformatted for North American audiences. At press time, programs confirmed to appear included The Animal Shelf, produced by Cosgrove Hall, and Tom and Vicky, produced by Granada TV. As well, the show will feature yet-to-be-announced, teeny weeny-produced kids fare. Initially, teeny weeny will produce 40 of each of the 30-minute and 60-minute episodes.

The block makes its Canadian debut on the YTV-owned, commercial-free cable channel for preschoolers, Treehouse TV, where it will run as an hour-long program four times a day from Monday to Friday.

Toyco Hasbro has signed on as the exclusive sponsor of the show for the duration of both deals. Though It’s itsy bitsy Time! will appear sans advertising, messages promoting Playskool, a Hasbro division, will bookend each episode.
