U.K. literary superstar Harry Potter is also making waves overseas in Hollywood. It’s been confirmed by Christopher Little, publicist for Potter author Joanne Kathleen Rowling, that Warner Bros. has been granted licensing and merchandising rights to the first two Potter books, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, in addition to the film rights. A screenplay is now in the works for the live-action feature, and there are hopes that the Potter franchise will yield an animated series in the future. AD
