X-Men fans need not wait until the July 2000 bow of the comic-spawned flick to get their fix: They can get a glimpse of the characters via the new toy line from Toy Biz debuting at February’s New York Toy Fair.

Product to be showcased includes action figures sculpted in the likenesses of the actors in the movie, a video game and X-Men vehicles.

The figures, geared to kids ages four and up, will initially be released in June 2000, with a second set of figures released in conjunction with the X-Men television series, which debuts later in the year. The figures have a SRP of US$5.99.

For gamers, there is X-Men Grip Tech, a three-dimensional video game that comes with two figures and controllers to make the figures punch, kick and grunt. A power meter on the figures changes color depending on how much strength they have in reserve, and when their power is depleted, they are ejected. Grip Tech streets June 2000 with a US$49.99 SRP for kids ages four and up. Vehicles include the X-Men Motorcycle and the X-Men X-Jet, both of which hit shelves in June with a target demo of four and older. The motorcycle has a US$12.99 SRP, while the jet will sell for US$24.99.
