Kidscreen Summit 2019 opens for registration

The annual kids industry event is returning to Miami from February 11 to 14, and sign-up starts today.

Kidscreen Summit 2019 is open for registration starting today. The annual kids entertainment industry event, running from February 11 to 14, is returning to the InterContinental in Miami.

Passes start at the early-bird rate of US$1,695, and offer unlimited access to 30 Minutes with… buyer briefing sessions, up to two Speed Pitching meetings with buyers, access to Cocktails with… and Lunching with… sessions, as well as an invite to the Kidscreen Awards ceremony. This rate is available until October 14; after that it will jump to US$1,995.

Marking a 9% increase in attendance, more than 2,000 delegates participated in Kidscreen Summit 2018, where Netflix’s Melissa Cobb opened up about the streaming giant’s move into live-action kids content and there was a groundbreaking panel on LGBTQ characters in kids TV led by GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis.

In related news, the 10th annual Kidscreen Awards opened yesterday for entries. The awards celebrate the best in children’s television and digital entertainment across programming, broadcasting and digital. Entries will be accepted until September 14.
