In support of the Special Session of the U.N. General Assembly scheduled for next September, Unicef is developing a five-minute animated film combining some of the world’s top animation talent. The ‘animated jam’ will incorporate 10 x 30-second spots, done by 10 different animators, which combine to tell a larger story.

Companies involved in the venture to change the world for kids are Disney, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, A Film (Denmark), Spain’s BRB International, EPIDEM ZOT from Finland, France 3, Brazil-based Futura Television, Kratky Film and Czech TV, PASI Films from the Philippines, RAI in Italy and India’s UTV Toons. Each player will volunteer creative ideas and services with a major studio-pending at press time-providing post-production efforts under Unicef’s supervision.
