Rainbow Rangers scores more licensing deals

Genius Brands International has signed three new licensing agreements for its new girl-skewing preschool brand.

California-based Genius Brands International (GBI) has signed on three new licensing partners for Rainbow Rangers ahead of the preschool brand’s US retail launch next year.

New US partners on board the licensing program including Berkshire Fashions (outerwear), Disguise (Halloween costumes) and Ceaco (puzzles).

Previously announced licensing partners include Mattel-owned Fisher-Price, which is creating dolls/figures, play sets, plush, vehicles and musical toys. Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group’s Imprint label also signed on recently as the brand’s global master publishing partner.

Rainbow Ranger’s US retail program will begin rolling out in late spring 2019, following the series’ premiere on Nick Jr. this fallRainbow Rangers follows the rescue-based adventures of seven young girls who protect Earth’s people, animals and resources. Directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King) and written by Shane Morris  (Frozen), the creative team also includes Elise Allen as head writer and co-creator (Dinosaur Train, Lion Guard), Genius Brands chairman and CEO Andy Heyward as executive producer, and animator Ruben Aquino (The Little Mermaid, Frozen) creating key designs.
