Netflix has started production on Twelve Forever, a new animated comedy set to debut across the globe on the streamer in 2019. It is created, executive produced and written by Julia Vickerman (Powerpuff Girls, Clarence, Yo Gabba Gabba!).

The series is being produced by California-based The Cartel with Stan Spry and Bradford Bricken serving as executive producers, as well as Puny Entertainment with Chris Hardwick (The Wall, Talking Dead) and Shadi Petosky (Danger & Eggs, Yo Gabba Gabba!) executive producing.

The new toon follows 12-year-old Reggie, whose desire to stay a kid is so strong that she opens up a fantasy world.

Netflix is also planning on premiering the reimagining of Carmen Sandiego in 2019 with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and DHX Media on board. The popular ’90s property will be turned into a 22-minute toon with Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) voicing the titular character.
