- Epic Games’ Fortnite has teamed up with Hasbro to add the Power Rangers into its upcoming season starting on August 7, and made the announcement in a live-action trailer (pictured). Outfits and weapons from the Power Rangers franchise will appear in the battle royale game. A Fortnite season typically lasts 90 days, and content sold during the period—in this case the Power Rangers gear—could become available to buy after the season ends. Marvel and DC characters are among the brands previously featured in Fortnite’s seasons.
- Sony Pictures Entertainment in Canada has signed a licensing deal with AVOD Tubi to put roughly 130 movies and TV episodes from Sony Pictures on Tubi in Canada. This includes kids content like the recent Jumanji movies and the animated film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
- England’s Zatu Distribution has inked exclusive deals to sell titles from board game publishers Steamforged Games and Maestro Media in the UK. Maestro Media has licensed games from Disney and is currently creating a 2026 game for the mobile game Clash of Clans. Steamforged has licensed games based on the video game franchises Monster Hunter and Dark Souls. Zatu’s catalogue includes major brands such as Disney, DC and LEGO.
