- Outfit7’s CG-animated series Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super is expanding into China, thanks to a new streaming deal with Youku. Produced by Epic Story Media and ReDefine Originals, the action-comedy series has already been picked up in the UK by the BBC for its CBeebies channels, as well as by Warner Bros. Discovery for Italy, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
- Jakks Pacific’s Disguise costume division has added licenses for Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, Jurassic World Rebirth, Wicked: For Good and the live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon to its existing agreement with NBCUniversal. The new collection will roll out across North America this fall, with the Wicked costumes also on shelves throughout EMEA and LatAm.
- Cricket Media-owned streamer Sensical has picked up Magic Light Pictures’ tentpole preschool series Pip and Posy (52 x seven minutes) to add to its lineup in the US later this year. Coinciding with this deal, Magic Light has added the series to its US YouTube channel, offering up a mix of compilation videos and full episodes.
- PlayMonster is bulking up its games portfolio with the acquisition of family-friendly card game Taco vs. Burrito from independent board game publisher Hot Taco for an undisclosed amount. The core game, which launched in 2022 after receiving US$24,312 from 697 Kickstarter backers, sees up to four players face off as they create the craziest meal combinations they can by drawing cards. The game brand has since released two additional card expansions.
