Today, the US Senate approved a package that would nix US$1.1 billion in federal support for public broadcasters, including PBS.
That’s the entire amount that had been allocated to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting over the next two years. The measure to strip this funding has now reached the House for final approval. (And the House has already signalled it will support the measure.)Â
