  • BBC Earth has partnered with Lingokids to launch an exclusive Walking with Dinosaurs lesson in the educational app to promote the return of BBC Studios’ landmark series. Lessons include games (like digging for fossils) and a curriculum that teaches kids about dinosaur diets/habits and extinction. BBC’s six-part revival of the family-friendly docuseries launched in the UK on May 25 and will roll out stateside on June 16 via PBS. Lingokids, which has been downloaded more than 165 million times worldwide, previously inked a similar deal with Moonbug Entertainment for Blippi-branded educational games as part of a push to bring in more third-party brands.

  • La Cabane/Thuristar’s CG-animated special A Lamb’s Stew (26 minutes, pictured) has joined Mush-Mush and The Mushables and Luce in the Lovely Lan in CAKE’s global distribution catalogue. The one-off’s strong visuals and emotional layers should help it appeal to more buyers beyond Canal+ (France), VRT-Ketnet (Belgium), ZDF (Germany) and RTS (Switzerland), says CAKE CEO Ed Galton.

  • Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and Qatar’s beIN Media Group have signed a multi-year deal extension for exclusive first- and second-window rights to SPE’s TV series and films in MENA and Turkey. It covers kids & family features such as Paddington in Peru, Karate Kid: Legends and anime series My Hero Academia.
