Sky Kids in the UK is doubling down on yoga YouTuber Jaime Amor by greenlighting a second project from her pitch deck, a live-action preschool series called Jaime’s Treetop Tales (20 x five minutes).
Launching sometime later this year on Sky Kids and streaming service NOW, Treetop Tales is all about Amor using songs and pretend play to tell stories that turn everyday objects into fun adventures—like imagining a chair cushion as a desert island, or a thimble as a boat. Zodiak Kids & Family Productions UK (a Banijay label) is co-producing the series with Amor’s company, Cosmic Kids. Lucy Murphy, director of kids content at Sky commissioned the series for Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios & chief content officer for Sky.
Amor has made quite a name for herself as a popular kids and family creator—her Cosmic Kids Yoga YouTube channel has 1.83 million subscribers. Tapping into a demand for meditation/mindfulness content for kids that emerged during the pandemic, she’s been able to expand her style of fun yoga to Cameo videos, live events and interactive episodes on streaming platform Hellosaurus.
She’s also parlayed this success into making branded yoga videos featuring major IPs including the Minions and Super Mario. One recent partnership with Paramount yielded a video promoting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem that launched in December 2023 and has since racked up more than 2.8 million views.
Amor’s company Cosmic Kids is also producing another series for Sky Kids called Jaime’s Yoga Adventures (80 x 15 minutes). In this live-action/2D-animated concept, Amor teaches preschoolers yoga and mindfulness techniques with a little help from some animal friends. Zodiak Kids & Family is also a co-pro partner on Yoga Adventures, which is on track to deliver and launch sometime this year.
