  • Toikido has named Eolo Toys as global master toy partner for an upcoming CG-animated series called Beep Boop it’s co-producing with Lazy Sunday and Custom Nuts. Eolo will roll out an initial toy line this September featuring playsets and collectibles. Beep Boop (26 x six minutes) is a non-dialogue slapstick-driven toon for six to nines about several sentient vending machines navigating Tokyo. Toikido plans to launch the first episodes of this fully-funded series on YouTube in September, aiming for full delivery in 2026.

  • Samsung Electronics and Disney have signed a deal that will see a collection of art from well-known Disney IPs such as The Little Mermaid (pictured), Snow White, Tangled and Star Wars made available in the Samsung Art Store. This subscription-based service lets consumers access art and photographs to display on their smart TVs. Operating in more than 115 countries, it features 3,000-plus pieces of art and has seen its global subscriber base grow by more than 70% year over year since February 2024, according to Samsung. In the US alone, its users view more than 400 million hours of art each year.

  • A new London-based indie publisher called Do Re Mi Books that’s launching in 2026 has inked two partnerships to get its first line of board books and picture books out to the under-seven crowd. The imprint has tapped Pinnacle Book Sales to distribute its titles in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, as well as signing Mauro Spagnol (director of consultancy Books Everywhere) to handle foreign sales rights. Husband-and-wife team Sam Voulters (an ex-brand director at Penguin Classics) and Anna Watanabe (an illustrator who’s worked with Penguin Random House) are the founders of Do Re Mi, which plans to launch 12 titles next year, some of them inspired by Japan’s kawaii aesthetic.
