Sphere Media promotes two execs in its kids & family division as Ghislain Cyr retires, and Nicole Rivera has joined Moonbug in a senior creative position.

  • Canadian producer/distributor Sphere Media has promoted Judith Beauchemin and Marianne Culbert in its kids & family division as creative director Ghislain Cyr prepares to retire imminently. Beauchemin has moved up from VP of production and post-production to  EVP of operations, with Culbert going from head to VP of production. Both will continue reporting to Marlo Miazga (president and EP of unscripted and kids & family), as well as working closely with Andrea Griffith (VP of content and development, kids & family). 

 

  • Nicole Rivera (pictured) has joined Moonbug Entertainment as a senior creative executive on heels of serving as VP of development at Kickstart Entertainment since October 2023. Earlier in her career, Rivera worked at Cartoon Network for more than 20 years, developing series such as Invincible Fight Girl and Jessica’s Big Little World as VP of original series development. 

 

  • Paul Robinson is leaving his post as president of Kartoon Channel! Worldwide, after overseeing the rollout of pay-TV channels, FAST channels and AVOD/SVOD services in 68 territories over the past three years. Robinson is a former managing director of Walt Disney Television International (1998 to 2004). 

 

  • Roblox has hired Twitch’s former worldwide go-to-market advertising lead Winstonn Tubbs to help more IP owners find a home on the gaming platform in a role that’s focused on product marketing, advertising and brands.
