  • Lion Forge’s 2D-animated series Iyanu has received a second-season renewal from Cartoon Network and HBO Max—as well as the greenlight to produce two new feature films. The Age of Wonders is set to premiere later this year, with the second pic to follow in 2026. As per Variety, Iyanu has attracted more than 525,000 viewers since launching last month.
  • Formula 1 and Disney have inked a new deal to bring Mickey Mouse & Friends into a new range of F1 experiences, content and merchandise that will launch sometime in 2026. This licensing partnership should help the car racing brand strengthen its reach with more than four million tweens who actively follow the sport.
  • Rainbow’s CG-animated Winx Club: The Magic is Back (pictured) reboot will roll out on CBBC and iPlayer in the UK this September, before an international launch on Netflix in October. The 26 x 24-minute show revolves around a teen girl who discovers she’s a powerful fairy who must save the magic dimension with her friends.
  • ITVX and POP have snapped up UK rights to the seventh season of Totally Spies! that debuted in France on Gulli last year. Reviving the 2D-animated spy-fi series about teen agents Clover, Alex and Sam, this new season also airs on WBD’s platforms across EMEA and the US, as well as on Discovery Kids LatAm.
  • BBC Studios has closed several licensing deals for Bluey with new partners including Pez (US), Addo Play (UK and Ireland), Dental Clean (Brazil), MIC (Colombia and Ecuador), Danwares (Canada), MacEwan (New Zealand) and The Card Network/TCN (Australia), all of which are staging product launches for later this year.
  • Studio 100 International has partnered with FXFX Studios to eventually move all of its IPs onto social gaming platforms. Their first collaboration is a Maya the Bee Roblox game that launched today to coincide with World Bee Day (May 20).
