Mattel has partnered with Family Entertainment Live and Live Nation to jumpstart a new touring show for kids & families called Hot Wheels Stunt Show.
The toyco’s latest LBE project will see iconic Hot Wheels vehicles—such as the 1974 Rodger Dodger muscle car, the 2006 modded hot rod Bone Shaker and 2020’s GT-Scorcher—come to life in full-scale size. Professional drivers will then rev up these bad boys to perform a series of stunts ranging from backflips, ramp jumps and precision-based maneuvers, to driving a 10-meter-tall 360-degree loop that replicates the design of the brand’s track-builder playset.
Hot Wheels Stunt Show will debut in the UK this fall, starting with a three-stop journey to arenas in Aberdeen (September 27-28), Newcastle (October 4-5) and London (October 25-26). But Mattel plans to announce more international shows at a later date, featuring an updated roster of cars, street bikes and ATVs as the tour progresses.
As part of the core experience, guests who arrive early can attend a 60-minute pre-show party to walk the arena floor, take pics with the vehicles and get drivers’ autographs before the mayhem begins. Each venue will also have on-site merchandise stalls featuring a mix of exclusive Hot Wheels toys and apparel.
