- Stumble Guys game developer Scopely has hired Shlomi Aizenberg (pictured) as its new chief business officer, with a remit to spearhead M&A strategy, pursue acquisition targets that support the company’s growth mission, and develop transition plans to merge operations post-transaction. The company is coming off its largest acquisition to date, purchasing Niantic’s games division and catalogue (Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now) for US$3.5 billion in March.
- Mattel has appointed former PepsiCo executive Paul Ruh as its new chief financial officer. Effective May 19, Ruh will succeed Anthony DiSilvestro, who announced his retirement in January. DiSilvestro has agreed to stay on board as an advisor until August 15 to help Ruh oversee the toyco’s financial planning, real estate assets and treasury.
