WildBrain CPLG signs new licensees for Teletubbies and In the Night Garden, and Mad Beauty gets ready to conjure up a Harry Potter range.

  • WildBrain CPLG has signed a raft of licensing deals with new partners for its Teletubbies and In the Night Garden brands. In North America, Five Below will produce a Teletubbies direct-to-retail apparel range, while Tee Turtle rolls out new reversible plush featuring the IP’s core characters at specialty retail this summer. Across the pond, Intelex is leveraging both brands in weighted plush collections that will hit shelves this fall.

 

  • WB is working with licensee Mad Beauty on a collection of Harry Potter products including bath elixirs, beauty masks and lip balms that are due out in the fall. The London-based cosmetics company has previously partnered with WBD on licensed ranges for Scooby-Doo, The Powerpuff Girls and Tom & Jerry.

 

  • Kids music brand English Tree has contracted licensing veterans Ellie Dekel and Sid Kaufman to guide and develop its consumer products strategy as senior advisors. And two new global distribution deals with Sony Music Publishing and Magic Star should widen the reach of its songs and soundtracks around the world.

 

  • Banijay Kids & Family subsidiary Procidis is extending Handicap International’s license to produce book protection kits for a second year. Launching this summer in France, the kits come with recyclable book covers and illustrated labels featuring characters from the studio’s 2D-animated series Once Upon a Time… Life
