Roblox had a really strong Q1, with revenue, bookings and daily active users all up by double digits compared to the same quarter last year.
The gaming platform’s revenue clocked in at US$1.03 billion, representing a 29% increase, and bookings—which measure in-game currency sales—grew by 31% to US$1.2 billion. In terms of audience, the average number of daily active users on Roblox was up by 26% to 97.8 million, with average bookings per daily active user growing a more modest 4% to US$12.34. There was also more engagement in general on the platform in Q1, with total hours increasing by 30% to 21.7 billion.
Roblox creators earned a record-setting US$281.6 million in revenue this quarter, and the full-year projection for 2025 is on track to crack US$1 billion, according to founder and CEO David Baszucki (compared to US$923 million last year). Furthermore, over the past 12 months, more than 100 Roblox developers have earned upwards of US$1 million on the platform.
“In addition to our focus on raw performance and quality, investments in the virtual economy and search and discovery are driving growth in platform monetization, bookings and creator earnings,” said Baszucki.
Looking ahead, Roblox is predicting revenue between US$1.02 billion and US$1.04 billion for Q2, and somewhere in the range of US$4.29 billion to US$4.36 billion for the full year.
