  • Magic Light Pictures has partnered with the Oxfordshire UNESCO World Heritage Site to relaunch its Pip and Posy Play at the Palace trail for two more years. Located at Blenheim Palace, the attraction initially ran for just one month last October. It’s currently being revamped with new activities and semi-permanent Pip and Posy structures in time to reopen on May 23.

  • France Télévisions and VRT have greenlit a new CG-animated preschool series called Nino Dino (78 x seven minutes) from French prodco Folivari and Belgian animation studio Take Five. It’s based on a same-name children’s book series from French author Mim (Camille Kohler) that follows the adventures of a young T-Rex who loves to explore the prehistoric world with his dino friends. Presales are also in place with Sweden’s SVT and France’s TV5 Monde.

  • US streamer Yippee TV has picked up a second season of Turtlebox Productions’ live-action/2D-animated digital-first series Mini Explorers! (eight x five minutes). Season two of this videogame-inspired preschool title was commissioned by Toronto’s Shaftesbury last year and debuted earlier this week on its Shaftesbury Kids YouTube channel.

  • Ireland’s TG4 and Welsh pubcaster S4C have commissioned Paper Owl Films to produce a second season (13 x 11 minutes) of Celtic-inspired anime series Lí Ban to air in 2026. It sees namesake protagonist Lí Ban embarking on a quest to save her druid friend Mídenn from the clutches of evil chieftain Balor. The project is funded with support from Ireland’s broadcast regulator Coimisiún na Meán, Northern Ireland Screen and the Irish Language Broadcast Fund, and Aardman will handle international distribution.

  • Rubies has signed a new licensing deal with Netflix to make costume ranges for Stranger Things, Squid Game, The Witcher and the streamer’s live-action adaptation of One Piece. Rubies will start with a collection for Stranger Things, which it believes has the largest global fandom of the four properties.
