Merlin Entertainments has inked a new agreement with Paramount Global to construct the first PAW Patrol-themed land in the UK.

Its Chessington World of Adventures Resort has been earmarked for the upcoming expansion, which is slated to open to the public towards the end of 2026. Spanning more than 5,600 square meters, Merlin’s PAW-branded land will feature a wide range of attractions for kids & families, including four rides, meet-and-greets with characters from the TV series and a customized retail outlet offering exclusive merchandise.

Merlin CEO Fiona Eastwood says the PAW Patrol land is part of a larger strategy the company has mapped out to bring more families with younger children—a key consumer group for new growth opportunities—into its theme parks. The Chessington Resort was chosen as the ideal location for this branded collab with Paramount because it’s positioned as the only UK attraction to feature a theme park, zoo and aquarium all on one site.

Merlin’s family-focused strategy kicked off last November when the company signed a deal with developer Mojang Studios that added Minecraft to its licensing portfolio. Under the agreement, Merlin plans to construct several immersive Minecraft experiences worldwide, starting with two attractions in undisclosed parks in the US and UK that will cost a combined US$110 million.
