- Prime Video International VP Kelly Day (pictured) is taking on an expanded remit and will now also head up the international originals team. This appointment comes in the wake of Amazon MGM Studios head Jennifer Salke’s sudden exit last month. As a next step, Day is looking to hire a new VP of international originals, who will report directly to her and succeed James Farrell, who stepped down in February. On this front, Prime Video has been having more success with YA-driven content lately, including German series Maxton Hall and Spanish film Culpa Tuya.
- Kathryn Power has been named head of creative at Moonbug Entertainment, according to an announcement she shared on her LinkedIn page yesterday. Based in LA, Power joined the studio behind CoComelon in 2021 as a creative executive, but she has been working as an executive producer for growth brands since November 2023. Power’s EP credits include Gecko’s Garage, Morphle, Morphle and the Magic Pets and new release VeeFriends, a 2D-animated short series co-produced with VaynerWatt that launched on YouTube in September.
