- Mattel has renewed its global licensing agreement with Disney to produce new toys for the iconic Toy Story franchise. As part of the multi-year renewal, Mattel will manufacture and distribute a new toy line tying into next year’s box office premiere of Toy Story 5 (pictured), including a range of action figures, vehicles, games and plush.
- Smiffys has inked a new deal with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to create a range of costumes inspired by The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. The costumes for both kids and adults will roll out to retailers worldwide later this year, and will also be available on Smiffy’s e-commerce site.
- Rushlake Media has picked up the North American and European distribution rights to three 2D-animated educational kids series from African prodco Ubongo, including Akili and Me (78 x 24 minutes), Nuzo and Namia (12 x 13 minutes) and Ubongo Kids (65 x 24 minutes).
