Animation software company Toon Boom has just rolled out its beta program for a new suite of AI-powered tools called Ember (pictured), which is designed to streamline animation workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
The initial features of Ember, are an add-on for Storyboard Pro and Harmony Premium (with no additional installation required), includes a script breakdown tool, an image eraser, a widget for upscaling art resolution (to as much as 8192 x 8192 pixels) and a feature for creating rough audio tracks.
The script breakdown tool analyzes a screenplay to identify key scenes, characters and background assets, while the audio track feature assesses a script’s dialogue and adds blank panels and placeholder audio into the project timeline.
Anyone interested in trying Ember out and providing feedback that will continue to shape its development should join the beta program’s waitlist. Toon Boom’s aim with this technology solution is to respect artists and IPs, while helping users iterate faster, deal with fewer interruptions and focus on being creative.
