- Following Mediawan’s acquisition of Leonine Studios last year, the prodco’s Kids & Family division has folded Toon2Tango’s animated series into its distribution catalogue. Titles now under new sales management include Monster Loving Maniacs (52 x 11 minutes, pictured), Dinomite & Lucy (39 x 11 minutes), The Wee Littles (46 x five minutes) and Agent 203 (26 x 22 minutes).
- Sixteen South has closed several sales for its flagship 2D-animated preschool series Odo (52 x seven minutes). New broadcast partners include HRT (Croatia), YLE (Finland), TVP (Poland), Truevisions (Thailand), PCCW (Hong Kong) and Radio Canada, all of which will air the series later this year.
- The Joester Loria Group has tapped Rocket Licensing to oversee a new consumer products program in the UK and Ireland for Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man franchise, working with global partners Jakks Pacific and University Games. The announcement comes on the heels of DreamWorks Animation’s Dog Man CG-animated movie grossing more than US$119.9 million at the global box office.
- TV Asahi has sold two Shin-chan feature films to PVR Inox Pictures, which will distribute the films to Indian cinemas for the first time later this year. Crayon Shin-Chan The Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary will debut in May, followed by the India-themed title Crayon Shin-Chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers in October.
