- Spin Master has renewed its global master toy deal with Universal Products & Experiences for preschool franchise Gabby’s Dollhouse (pictured). The Toronto-based toyco is planning to roll out a new range of toys and playsets later this year to support the premiere of Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie on September 26.
- Trinity CineAsia acquired theatrical distribution rights to Beijing Enlight Media’s record-breaking family feature film Ne Zha 2 in 37 territories across Europe. The US$2-billion Chinese box-office hit will hit the UK and Ireland first on March 21, with additional launches in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Benelux planned for later in the year.
- Bulldog Licensing has partnered with textile manufacturers Cooneen and Misirli to develop new licensed apparel for Takara Tomy’s Beyblade X franchise in the UK and Ireland. Both manufacturers will collaborate on a spring retail launch of daywear, nightwear, underwear and socks for both kids and adults.
